In World of Warcraft, players can learn flying techniques in the icy and cold climate of the Polar Ice Caps after completing the main questline in Orgrimmar. Players can then accept a side quest called “Flight” which starts at the top floor of a snow-covered tower southwest of Winterspring Valley. The objective of this quest is to mark a circle of blue dots on the map in the Icecrown Glacier and then use Storm Crystals to fly a certain distance, completing the series of quests successfully.
The rewards for this quest include: Storm Crystal Fragments, Storm Crystals, and a Storm King Emblem.
The Storm Crystal drop dungeon is located in a camp south of Winterspring Valley.
The quest requires players to find three Frost Crystals in Winterspring Valley: 2 near the Alliance Vanguard Base Camp, 4 in the lower left area of the Silithus Mountains and 6 near the entrance of the Knights of the Ebon Blade camp and just below Thunder Bluff.
Below the cliff on the east side of Winterspring Valley, there is an NPC named Elison Darwin. He will summon a giant tree spirit to spew flames at your feet.
There is a large tent above the camp where a group of monsters are guarding. Defeating them will reward you with experience points, which can help you level up quickly.
