The winners of the group stage will advance to the knockout stage. The top four teams in the group stage will qualify for the knockout stage. The final ranking of the group stage will serve as the ultimate showdown between LPL and T1. Ultimately, the four teams that advance will earn three MVP titles in ten matches.

S12 Schedule Exposed: Clash of the Five Major Teams, Who Can Rise to the Top?
The League of Legends S12 World Championship schedule has been exposed.
This morning, the 2021 S11 Global Finals will begin at 9 a.m. Beijing time on October 22nd (Thursday).
The first round of group stage matches will conclude after ten matches, and the ultimate champion team will advance to the group stage second round, while the other three teams with the highest scores will enter the group stage loser’s bracket.
In the first week of the group stage, all participating teams will play two BO3 single round-robin score matches, with the top 2 advancing to the semifinals; the third to fifth place teams will enter the finals stage, where the winning team will play a BO7 double round-robin score match; and the remaining six teams will enter the Mid-Season Invitationals stage, where two teams will advance to the semifinals and finals.
